Sa Ubos | Watercolor | By Edbon Sevilleno

This traditional watercolor final version of this piece was so far so good came out great anyway, thou it seems I over done it in someway that I cannot help myself fiddling on details. I wish I could get away from it and just do it in one or two ala prima strokes.

Keep painting, do a lot of experiments, be courageous to attempt stunts. Let experience be your teacher, and be a master of your own medium! :)

The detailedness of your pictures give them some speciality in contrast to many other water coloured pictires. I like that really much because if I watch the trees with all these nice leaves and shading and lightening i really got the feeling that the wind is shivering them a little bit. I feel a little breeze going throw the whole picture and thats so special with your pictures at all. I can feel, see and smell the sourrounding because you put so much work inside to keep the model as nature true as possible. Please go on with that. I really love your work.

I don't think you have over worked this piece, rather given a great richness of detail that we can all appreciate by spending a bit more time looking at the various aspects. The play of shadows on the roof of the building, the delicate waterfall, even the suggested afternoon storm brewing. I can almost taste the humidity, it is wonderful!

This too shall pass.
